The Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change operates
routinely a Global Seasonal Ensemble Prediction System
(CMCC-SPS3) based on a Coupled
Atmosphere-Ocean-Land-Cryosphere Global Model. The Forecast
is based on an Ensemble System of 50 members, is produced
from initial conditions based on the 1st of every month and
runs for six months ahead. Verification scores are based on
a complete set of hind-casts (re-forecasts) based on
40-member ensembles and spanning the period 1993-2016.
